Kicks

Hand strikes are the first concern of the Hung Leng syllabus as they can be more immediate in a self defence situation and less difficult to master. However, it isn't long before students are introduced to all heights and ranges of kick, which are employed throughout the syllabus.

Below are some illustrations of some of the kicks we use - it is not a definitive list. Flying kicks are taught much later in the syllabus. We use kicks to all previously mentioned Gates and, because the legs are much stronger than the arms as well as allowing us a much greater reach, they should be developed to the full.
